Types of Swiss Scholarship
There are two types of programs that the scholarship offers:

Research Scholarships:
This type of scholarship is for an applicant holding a Masters degree. Students pursuing a Postgraduate or Post-Doc degree can apply in any academic discipline. The research scholars are eligible to study in all Swiss cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences, two federal institutes of technology, and four research institutes.

Art Scholarships:
These scholarships are offered to applicants pursuing initial-level master’s degrees in arts. The students can enroll in any Swiss conservatory or university of arts. However, this scholarship is open to students from a few countries.

Eligibility

The candidate should belong to a country with diplomatic and political connections with Switzerland.
Scholarship holders must move to Switzerland to complete the degree.
The applicant residing in Switzerland for over a year is not eligible to apply.
The applicant who has received any other grant from Switzerland is not eligible to apply.
The eligibility for a master’s program is different for every country.
Scholarship eligibility is guaranteed when the applicant receives an acceptance letter from a professor teaching at a Swiss university. Therefore, the applicant must know how to get an acceptance letter from a lecturer.
To get a scholarship for a Ph.D. or Post-Doc., the applicant must hold a master’s degree equivalent to a Swiss master’s degree.

How to Apply for the Swiss Government Scholarships

Application Process
The applicant must apply for both the desired program master’s, Ph.D., or Post-Doc in Swiss universities and the Federal Commission of Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) separately.
