BARRANDE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Duration: from 1 to 3 months (short-term) or up to 15 months (cotutelle)

The Barrande Fellowship Programme is a joint Czech-French scholarship scheme. Its aim is to support the science careers of Ph.D. students from Czechia and France. The programme makes it possible for them to get financial support for either a short-term research stay, or a (multiannual) study stay under joint supervision . Students coming to Czechia from France receive a monthly stipend of 35,000 CZK. Any Ph.D. student or any student planning to start a Ph.D. programme in France in the following year in any scientific field is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

  •  The Scholarship is awarded for each research stay abroad. The fellowship-holder undertakes a 5-month stay abroad every year for a maximum of 3 years and receives a monthly stipend of about 1,000 EUR in France / 25,000 CZK in the Czech Republic.
  • The program offers grants to Ph.D. students for a short-term research stay in France or the Czech Republic. The length of a short stay is between 1 and 3 months. The fellowship holder receives a monthly stipend of about 1,000 EUR in France / 25,000 CZK in the Czech Republic.
